Did you know that studies show that exercise helps you feel better, sleep better and have more energy? Join one of our many programs to help you stay focused. Participants under the age of 16 are required to be registered along with a parent. Please bring a water bottle to class!

 

Hatha Yoga

Hatha Yoga is used to create balance in the body and the mind. This is accomplished by looking to the eight limbs of yoga including asana (physical movement) and pranayama (breathing exercises). During the course, we will discover how the linking of physical movement and breath work can begin to slow the mind and release stress. This class is great for people who are looking to decompress from their day and need low impact exercises that will still build strength. All levels of experience and flexibility are welcome! For your comfort, please come to class on an empty stomach (eat two hours before class) and wear loose fitting clothing. Please bring your own yoga mat, strap and a water bottle to class. Registration includes participation for Yoga in the Park.

Yoga in the Park

Haines Wayside Park

If your week consists of sitting in front of a computer at a desk or keeping up with energetic children (or both!), then you need to make time for Yoga in the Park. These classes are great for people who are looking to decompress from their week. Please bring your own yoga mat or towel and a water bottle to class. Register for a selected day, both days or just come drop in.
