Take a trip with the New Lenox Community Park District! We have a variety of travel destinations to choose from, so sit back, relax and let us take care of the driving. Call your family, friends and neighbors and join the fun! Please note that there is no additional fee for nonresidents charged for our bus trips. Beautiful Maine

Experience the beautiful coastal region on your bus trip to Maine. This tour takes you from the state’s largest city-by-the-sea, Portland, to America’s most photographed lighthouse. Visit the Seashore Trolley Museum and take a ride through the Maine countryside on a streetcar. Tour the elegant historic Victoria Mansion and enjoy free time at the historic Portland waterfront. Visit the Boothbay Railway Village, including a vintage train ride. A highlight of your Maine bus trip is a guided tour of the Maine coastal villages of Kennebunk and Kennebunkport and a drive along the Atlantic Ocean. Chicago Pizza Tour

Join us for a day of eating pizza! Travel more than 20 miles devouring multiple styles of Chicago pizza in just a few hours. Eat and feel like a local as you visit authentic small businesses to sample their legendary pizzas and hear their stories. Chicago Pizza Tours started in 2009, becoming the first Chicago food tour company focused solely on pizza. The tours were designed by local Chicago pizza enthusiast, Jonathan Porter who has judged the U.S. Pizza Championships and contributed many pizza related books and TV specials. Museum of Broadcast Communications and Lunch at Harry Caray’s

The Museum of Broadcast Communications collects, preserves and presents historic and contemporary radio and television content. Visit the Chicago Television Gallery, Radio Hall of Fame and the museum store. After viewing the museum, we will enjoy lunch at Harry Caray’s Italian Steakhouse where you will enjoy Caesar salad, your choice of chicken vesuvio, Italian sausage and peppers or pan-roasted white fish oreganto. Elvis My Way at the Arts Centre

Get Your Kicks on Route 66!

Get your kicks on the ultimate Route 66 experience led by the award-winning Route 66 author, John Weiss! We will travel the historic Route 66 from the town of Dwight all the way to Atlanta, IL. Our first stop will include a big breakfast at the Route 66 family restaurant on the historic road. This family-owned restaurant has a Route 66 atmosphere and hospitality feel. Then, we will begin our adventure as we journey along Route 66 visiting sites such as an old police station, Dead Man’s curve, the Sprague Super Service, Route 66 Visitors Center, Bunyon giant, a visit to the Beer Nuts Factory and Outlet Store and more! We will try and see how sirup is made at the historic Funk Sirup Farm. Yes, it is spelled Sirup! We will end our day with dinner at the historic Palm Café in Atlanta. Don’t forget your camera!
