Get up and go! It’s time to ride at Nova Quarter Horses, Inc. There is fun for all ages at any riding level; no previous experience is needed. Come out to learn both Western and English disciplines taught by our highly qualified trainers and instructors. We offer both an indoor and outdoor arena, so Nova is able to offer lessons year-round. A 5-lesson card includes 5 individual one-hour lessons within a group format. Once your lesson card is purchased, call Nova to schedule your lessons at (708) 479-3696. Jeans and hard soled or gym shoes are required.

Junior Chefs

Ages 6-10
LCC (Kitchen) Entry C
Kids who start cooking at a younger age are 50% more likely to make meals from scratch as they grow up! Cooking also teaches kids valuable lessons like following directions, reading, math, science and problem solving. Recipes will include a twist on favorites as well as ethnic recipes to encourage us to have more adventurous taste buds. Please note, session II is a repeat of session I. Each child will take home their own cookbook of recipes, too. Please bring an apron to class!

Magic Class!

Ages 5-12

Children are guaranteed to have a great time as they learn a collection of fascinating and mesmerizing tricks from the Magic Team of Gary Kantor! Amaze family and friends with tricks that involve cards, ropes, coins, mind-reading and more. All materials are provided and each child receives a magic kit to take home. Children are grouped by age and always learn tricks that are age-appropriate.

Critter Class

Ages 4-12

Instructed by: Crosstown Exotics
This 4-week class offered by Crosstown Exotics is an introduction to the world’s most misunderstood creatures: reptiles, amphibians and bugs! We will teach the importance of these creatures to the environment as well as their natural history and how to take care of them as pets. Each class students will have the opportunity to photograph, touch and handle the animals. Some classes may take place outdoors, so dress accordingly. Open-toed shoes are prohibited.

Mad Science!

Your child will enjoy hands-on experiments with common and safe household items. They will be having so much fun that they won’t even realize how much they are learning. Dress for a mess in case any of our experiments explode. Activities may include volcanos, soluble messes and ooze crafts.
