We might make some hot apple cider, a Thanksgiving feast or even some festive holiday cookies! Learn fun and easy recipes for the fall and holiday seasons. Each child will take home their own cookbook of recipes each session. Please bring an apron to class!

Learning to horseback ride can be fun for all ages. Nova Quarter Horses, Inc. offers beginner, intermediate and advanced riding levels; in both English and Western disciplines. Whether you are new to the sport of horseback riding; rode years ago or always wanted to learn to ride, now is your chance. We have qualified instructors that teach with passion and enthusiasm and encourage our students to be safe, have fun and the proper instruction to riding a horse. We offer both an indoor and outdoor arena, so Nova is able to offer lessons year round. A 5-lesson card includes 5 individual one-hour lessons within a qualified instructor in a group format. Once your lesson card is purchased, call the stable to arrange classes at (708) 479-3696. Long pants and hard soled or gym shoes are required.

Children are guaranteed a great time as they learn a collection of fascinating and mesmerizing tricks from the “Magic Team of Gary Kantor”! Amaze family and friends with tricks that involve cards, ropes, coins, mind-reading and more. All materials are provided and each child receives a magic kit to take home. Children are grouped by age and learn tricks that are age-appropriate. Additionally, you can sign up for this class again and again since brand new tricks are always taught at each session!

BRICKS 4 KIDZ: LEGO® Pirate Adventures
Shiver me timbers as we explore the popular culture behind the life of a pirate! Build a motorized pirate ship, a helm and an anchor as we batten down the hatches and prepare for mutiny. Protect all hands on deck by building a launching trebuchet. Beware me mateys, if it’s too late, you must abandon ship and build a rowboat to escape. Watch out for crocodiles! Anchors aweigh! Every child takes home a custom LEGO® mini-figure at the end of the last class.

BRICKS 4 KIDZ: LEGO® Winter Break Mini-Camp
LEGO® Ninjago® fans will spin with excitement in the action-packed mini-camp! Come build motorized models including spinners using our exclusive model kits. Compete in a Spinjitzu Tournament, where Ninjas spin into tornadoes to defeat their enemies. Enter the Spinjitzu Zone and show off your building skills. Take on challenges of all skill levels during this mystical session. Each child takes home a custom LEGO mini-figure at the end of the two-day session. Please bring a NUT FREE snack and drink each day.

Healthy Hands Cooking Classes: Knife Basics
LCC (Room 3) Entry C
Using knives specifically created for young & beginner chefs and designed with the child’s safety in mind, your child will learn the basics of how to use knives safely in your home to prepare food. We will be peeling, spreading, chopping and cutting a variety of foods. Beginner chef knives, along with finger guards, will be used and will be supplied by the instructor for use in class.
