The AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy program focuses on all things every owner needs to have for a great start together. S.T.A.R. stands for Socialization, Training, Activity and Responsible. Organized training classes provide an opportunity for your dog to socialize with people and dogs. This is a treat-based class. Over 6 weeks, we will go over 20 behaviors and training skills. Some of the basics are sit, down, stay, leave it, walking on a leash & more. We will discuss potty-training, crate training and biting problems. This class is for puppies 12 weeks to 1 year old. Once the puppy is evaluated and passes the test, they will receive a certificate from All About The K-9 dog training, a certificate from the AKC and a ribbon. This AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy class will also prepare your puppy for the Canine Good Citizen (CGC) training.

Basic Dog Obedience

Basic Dog Obedience focuses on all things every dog owner needs to have for a great start together. This class level is for dogs 1 year and older with no training experience. Organized basic obedience classes provide an opportunity for your dog to socialize with people and dogs. Over 6 weeks, we will go over training such as walking on a leash, manners when out in public, place/mat training, sit/stay and so much more. Instructor will discuss how important it is to crate a puppy as well as going over any biting and leash questions. Your puppy will also prepare for the AKC CGC Test.
